The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program National Program Management Office (4Ps NPMO) facilitated the 2023 National Independent Monitoring Committee (NIMC) Meeting and Field Visit held on 21-23 November 2023, at the Oracle Hotel, Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City. The primary objective of this event was to deepen the understanding of NIMC members regarding the implementation of the 4Ps and to formulate a robust monitoring and evaluation plan, along with the necessary tools.

Throughout the meeting, the NPMO provided a concise overview of the 4Ps and highlighted program accomplishments. Additionally,  participants had the opportunity to explore the 4Ps community in Barangay Payatas, Quezon City, and Barangay Tumana, Marikina City during the field visit. This on-site assessment aimed to evaluate the 4Ps implementation in these areas, particularly in relation to various existing convergence programs.  The goal was to offer the committee insights into best practices and areas for improvement in program implementation within the mentioned barangays.

Underlining the crucial role of the NIMC in ensuring accountability, National Program Manager, Director Gemma B. Gabuya, emphasized, “The regular conduct of NIMC meetings and field visits underscores our commitment to transparency in the program and serves as a checkpoint to ensure that we are progressing towards our goals.”

The National Independent Monitoring Committee (NIMC) functions as an independent body tasked with monitoring and ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the 4Ps.
