The Department of Social Welfare and Development recognized the contribution of its partners and personnel during the 70th founding anniversary celebration in January with the theme, “DSWD@70: Kabalikat ng Mahihirap sa Panahon ng Pandemya.”

This celebration highlights the significant contributions of the different stakeholders and the invaluable service of the agency’s workforce to include the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

Leading the 4Ps awardees is Director Gemma B. Gabuya, 4Ps National Program Manager who received the prestigious Gawad Kalihim Award.  For this year’s Gawad Kalihim Award, it is a special citation conferred upon individual/s who have displayed extraordinary efforts and service amidst the response for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic whilst demonstrating the agency’s core values.

Sharing the limelight is Mr. Gil Moreno also from the National Program Management Office (NPMO) was recognized as the Best Administrative Staff under the Cost of Service (COS)/ Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) category.

For the first time, the NPMO Gender and Development Division is runner up to the GADLENS category. Other nominees from the NPMO who were finalists include Mr. Jimmy Francis Schuck for the Best Division category; Ms. Miziel Pasia for the Best Technical Staff (Permanent/Contractual); Ms. Katherine Mae Delmendo for the Best Technical Staff (COS); Ms. Sheryl Quesada for the Best Administrative Staff (Permanent/Contractual).

Meanwhile, Field Office (FO) CARAGA, Pantawid Pamilya Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) was adjudged as the Best Operations Office. FO CARAGA also received the Best Convergence Action Team led by Mr. Eddie G. Paclado, City Link of Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.  Other nominees for the Best Operations Office include RPMOs of DSWD Regional nominees also include RMPOs of DSWD Davao Region and Central Luzon.

For the Pusong Magiting Award, nominees include Ms. Clarisse Marie E. Estribor  Administrative Assistant III (Municipal Roving Bookkeeper) and Ms. Iries L. Alvarez  Social Welfare Assistant, both from  DSWD FO VI; Ms. Regine Imee Q. Gardoce Muncipal Link from DSWD FO 7. ###
