Quezon City – The 2nd Tranche of SAP Emergency Subsidy (SAP-ES) for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) living in the ECQ areas are now received by 1,335,711 or 98% of the total 4Ps cash card holders, as of July 14, 2020.
This accounts for P6,741,409,650.00 already disbursed out of P6,874,471,100.00 credited by Landbank to all 4Ps cash card account holders.
A total of 1,387,130 of 4Ps beneficiaries are entitled to receive the 2nd tranche SAP. Of these number, 1,361,034 are cash card account holders, and 26,096 are non-cash card holders.
As reported earlier the 2nd tranche of the of the SAP Emergency subsidy are to be given only to the 1.3 Million 4Ps household beneficiaries living in areas still under Enhanced Community Quarantine or ECQ for the period May 1-15 according to IATF Resolutions No. 30 and 31. These are the National Capital Region (NCR), Benguet, Pangasinan, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Region IV-CALABARZON, Albay, Iloilo, Bacolod City, Cebu, Zamboanga City, and Davao City.
DSWD and Landbank also started the payout for the 4Ps non-cash card holders following a faster and more streamlined process based from the learnings of the previous 1st tranche payout and in consideration of the strict protocols demanded by the COVID-19 crisis situation.
All 4Ps non-cash card holders entitled to receive the 2nd tranche is required to coordinate with their City/Municipal Links for their scheduled payouts and are again reminded to observe strict social distancing and safety protocols during the activity.
The SAP-ES can only be availed by all 4Ps recipients through DSWD, and that they are no longer entitled to receive SAP from other agencies. Findings of double entitlements from other SAP programs will be outrightly recovered by DSWD through deductions from their succeeding 4Ps cash grants starting 2020 Period 3 covering June and July. They are also reminded to use the emergency subsidy for its intended purpose such as purchase of their basic necessities like food, medicines, etc.###
