New Text Hotline to Accelerate CCT Grievance Resolutions PDF Print E-mail

The Grievance Redress System (GRS) of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (Pantawid Pamilya), the country’s version of the Conditional Cash Transfer program (CCT), recently held a four-day training on the Grievance Short Messaging Service (SMS) Hotline in Iloilo City. Four Deputy Program Managers, 13 Regional Program Coordinators, and one Provincial Link together with 37 Grievance Officers, were oriented and trained on the new tool designed to shorten the processing and resolving time of reported queries, requests and complaints towards the program thru text messaging.

Ms. Raj, Ms Universe 2010 fourth runner up is DSWD’s Ambassadress for Children’s Rights and Welfare. She was introduced by DSWD Secretary Dinky Soliman during a Convergence Caravan of anti-poverty programs in Marikina City yesterday, October 20.

Shoe Hall, Marikina City - The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will award a total amount of Php 225,000.00 as livelihood capital assistance to 4 organized Self Employment Assistance-Kaunlaran (SEA-K) associations or SKAs tomorrow, October 20, as the Convergence Caravan rolls out in Marikina City. 

As part of the department’s Convergence Strategy, the Self-employment Assistance- Kaunlaran (SEA-K) program provides microenterprise development assistance, which includes capital assistance, to registered associations in order to enhance their access to basic social services and their standard of living. From January to September of this year, the program has already released a total of P97,672,676 for capital assistance.

Family from Navotas conferred as Pantawid Pamilya’s Huwarang Pamilya PDF Print E-mail

Some 140 family-beneficiaries and representatives from 17 Local Government Units from Metro Manila attended the awarding of the “Huwarang Pamilya ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program” last September 22, 2011 at the SM Mall of Asia. The household of Mr. Herminio and Norma Cuevas from Navotas City was awarded as the Huwarang Pamilya for 2011 for their active community participation, religious compliance to the conditions of the program, and for judiciously utilizing their cash grants. The Cuevas family bested other 11 families who were nominated by their respective LGUs. 

 

 DSWD Assistant Secretary Camilo Gudmalin, DSWD-NCR Regional Director Ma. Alicia S. Bonoan, OMB Chairman Ronnie Ricketts and wife Mariz led the awarding of plaque of recognition, cash prize of P15,000.00 and grocery package to the Cuevas family.

Muntinlupa City Congressman Rodolfo Biazon meets today, August 26, the parent leaders of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program in his district, to listen to their testimonies as well as discuss their issues and concerns on the program.

Pantawid Pamilya, the country’s version of the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program, provides assistance to poor households and invests in the future of their children to help their families rise from poverty by having them go to school regularly and providing them with proper health care and nutrition.
