Davao City--Around 77 Local Chief Executives (LCEs) and their representatives coming from the different cities in the country with Pantawid Pamilya Program are invited to participate in the consultation dialogue forum on the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program at the Grand Regal Hotel in Davao city from December 5-7. Recognizing the vital role being played by the Local Government Units (LGUs) led by the Mayors and Governors in the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilya, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) engages them in the two-day event forum to seek inputs and recommendations for the improvement of program implementation in 2012. The activity is a series of consultation with the LCEs that aims to strengthen the relationship between the national and the local government as they work together for the attainment of the goals and objectives of Pantawid Pamilya. |

Thirty-two governors and seven vice governors convened in Cagayan de Oro City last November 9-10 for the “National Consultation Workshop with Governors” to discuss the implementation of Pantawid Pamilya in their provinces. Other governors also sent their representatives to the forum. The participants were welcomed by Governor Oscar Moreno of the province of Misamis Oriental.

The Grievance Redress System (GRS) of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (Pantawid Pamilya), the country’s version of the Conditional Cash Transfer program (CCT), recently held a four-day training on the Grievance Short Messaging Service (SMS) Hotline in Iloilo City. Four Deputy Program Managers, 13 Regional Program Coordinators, and one Provincial Link together with 37 Grievance Officers, were oriented and trained on the new tool designed to shorten the processing and resolving time of reported queries, requests and complaints towards the program thru text messaging. |
