In April 17, 2019, President Rodrigo Duterte signed into law an act institutionalizing the Pantawid
Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) otherwise known as the Republic Act No. 11310 or the 4Ps Act.
The law became effective 14 days after it was published in the official gazette. The signing of the law is
a monumental event in the history of the program, thus the commemoration this June.
The 4Ps Anniversary will be a weeklong celebration with the opening of exhibit as the kick-off activity
and will be culminated by the awarding of outstanding workers and recognition of partners. The
exhibit on June 7, will highlight program milestones both at the national and regional level.
On June 9, the Diskursong 4Ps (Paglalahad, Paglalarawan, Pagsasalaysay, Pagbibigay Liwanag sa
Usaping Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program), focuses on the different challenges and opportunities
available for the beneficiaries of the program amid the Covid 19 pandemic. During the activity, the
NPMO will also launch the campaign, “SaMa-SaMa: Sa Matatag, Sa Matagumpay na Pamilyang
Pilipino” The message will highlight the collaborative effort of the different stakeholders to include
the program beneficiaries to rise above not only in this very difficult and challenging time, but
towards improved well-being.
The “SaMa-SaMa” concept revolves around the narrative of working together towards improved well-
being (stable, self-sufficient, and successful) amid the pandemic.
