Social Welfare and Development Secretary Corazon Juliano-Soliman is pleased to note the result of the study conducted by Dr. Rosario Manasan, senior research fellow of the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) where it cited improvement in school enrollment in areas where there are children-beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. The study was published in the November 2011 issue of PIDS Policy Notes.

The schoolhouse in Barangay Cogon in the Island Garden City of Samal sits at the end of a dirt path leading from the community basketball court and barangay center. Dropping by one of the classrooms, we find students seated on the wooden desks, clean and bright-faced even if they are dressed in faded clothes, their feet shod in worn-out rubber slippers.

Recognizing the potential of maximizing the benefits of information technology, the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program has started to put into operation the Unified Information and Communication System (UNICS) that would effectively support the transparent and efficient capture and faster processing of grievances related to program implementation. 

 

 Grievance Officers get acquainted with the UNICS interface and process during the UNICS training last January 23-27.

DSWD Supports Solon’s Call to Delist Ineligible CCT Grantees PDF Print E-mail

Thirty-seven (37) out of the 96 household beneficiaries reported by the Commission on Audit (COA) as ineligible to Pantawid Pamilya are currently undergoing final stages of validation by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for possible delisting from the program. These beneficiaries from Regions III, IV-A and NCR, if validated to be ineligible, will be delisted from the program through the Grievance Redress System of Pantawid Pamilya.
