Additional seven towns in the province of Negros Oriental will get advantages from the government's program for the poor following the expansion by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) of its reach of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps so as to include further Negrense beneficiaries.

The Maninay, Manjuyod, Pamplona, Zamboanguita municipalities along with the cities of Bais as well as Canlaon with net 25,863 beneficiaries have now come under the mentioned program reportedly.

Thus the net number of beneficiaries in the province under the 4Ps has come up to 57,911, according to DSWD Region 7 Director Evelyn Macapobre.

According to this, Macapobre told that a ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) will occur on 18th January at the Plaza Maria Luisa Suites Inn in the city.

The eminent persons that are expected to attend the ceremonial signing include Gov. Roel Degamo, 1st Rep. Jocelyn Limkaichong, 2nd District Rep. George Arnaiz, as well as 3rd District Rep. Pryde Henry Teves along with the mayors of the latest 4Ps regions.

4Ps is a program organised by the government for implementing the removal of poverty via the DSWD that provides monthly conditional money grants to qualified household beneficiaries.
