Jocelyn Aligata ng Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, 23 taong gulang, isa sa 4,041 scholars na tinutulungan ng SGP-PA makatapos ng kolehiyo
Si Jocelyn Aligata ng Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, 23 taong gulang, ay nahinto ng limang taon sa pag-aaral. Hindi na matugunan ng kanyang mga magulang ang kanyang pag-aaral dahil kulang ang kinikita ng kanyang tatay para sa gastusin sa bahay. 

“Hirap po kami sa buhay kaya nahinto kami sa pag-aaral. Nagtrabaho nang maiigi ang tatay ko para hindi kami magutom,” sabi ni Jocelyn na namasukan bilang katulong upang kumita nang mahinto siya sa pag-aaral. Labing-walong taong gulang siya noon. 
 
Kapareho ng kapalaran ni Jocelyn si Gay Myrell Abrogena ng Pinili, Ilocos Norte. Nasa ikatlong taon na si Myrell sa kursong B.S. Education nang sabihin sa kanya ng kaniyang mga magulang na hindi na niya muna maipagpapatuloy ang kanyang pag-aaral.

That’s something we should all ask ourselves and seriously ponder.

Every Filipino wants economic growth for our country and we all hope to participate in that growth just as we could all use the extra cash. In pressing for economic growth, Filipinos must also play a role in generating that growth. The government can only provide the right environment for more economic activities. To achieve growth, Filipinos must reciprocate with individual productivity that’s founded on ethical practices.

Because of the commendable implementation of Pantawid Pamilya and its impact on the lives of its beneficiaries, international donor agencies continue to support the program. One of the program’s biggest donors is the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAid). 340,000 household beneficiaries are currently being supported by the monetary donation from AusAid.  Director General Peter Baxter of AusAid attested their full support to the program – mentioning in three years time, the lives of the poor beneficiaries will have greatly improved because of the program.

The Pantawid Pamilya aims to accomplish their goal through education and promotion of women’s active role in family and community development.  About 93% of the Pantawid Pamilya grantees are women. The program believes in women's motherly nature and trusts that they will use the grants for the welfare of their children.
